HAWTHORNE, Calif. – Alvin A. Levi, former president and CEO of TRW Systems Federal Credit Union here, died Feb. 23. He was 75. Levi joined the credit union as manager in 1974 and served as president and CEO from 1985 until his retirement in 1994. During his tenure, TRWSFCU saw asset growth increase from $34 million to $263 million and membership more than double, from 18,000 members to 39,000 members. "Al Levi was instrumental in implementing many credit union features that TRWSFCU members enjoy today, including shared branching, Visa cards, an extensive proprietary ATM network and touch-tone phone banking," said John A. Bommarito, TRW Systems FCU's current president and CEO. Levi is survived by his widow, Paula, a daughter, Marianne Johnson, son-in-law Mark Johnson and a grandson, Justin. Funeral arrangements were not announced.
