ATLANTA – There's a changing of the guard at Credit Union Service Corporation. After seven years, CUSC President/CEO Michael Culbertson has decided to step down to pursue other personal and professional interests. Under his leadership CUSC processed over four million monthly transactions and grew to 535 credit union participants. "The board of CUSC is proud of the substantial contributions Mike has made to our company," said Kris Mecham, CUSC chairman, and president/CEO of Deseret FCU. "Through his vision, CUSC is positioned as the premier shared branching provider for credit unions. He will be missed and we wish him well in his future endeavors." Former Colorado Credit Union System President/CEO Carroll Beach, who "retired" just last year, has been hired by the board to take Culbertson's place. Beach has served as president of Credit Union Service Network, the local CUSC network in Colorado; and is past chairman of CUSC. There's another Beach already at CUSC – Carroll's son Craig is CUSC's vice president of communications.
