EDISON, N.J. – Metuchen Assemblers Federal Credit Union is welcoming thee Metuchen-Edison Area Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as its newest member. "Our newly fostered relationship with Metuchen Assemblers FCU fell into place. I was in the process of searching for a credit union to serve our members, and Metuchen Assemblers was in the process of looking for a new group, such as ours," said NAACP President Reggie Johnson. "I received a phone call from Dawn, who asked if we would be interested in joining the credit union. From there, everything fell into place," Over 1,800 members of the Metuchen-Edison Area Branch of the NAACP are now eligible for membership the credit union. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the new partnership.
