WASHINGTON – CUNA Mutual Group, U.S. Central, and Liberty Enterprises each donated $100,000 to the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF). The donations were presented on Feb. 23 prior to the 2003 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards Dinner. Michael B. Kitchen, CUNA Mutual president/CEO, made the contribution for CUNA Mutual. "We are honored to support an organization that does so much good to strengthen and develop the U.S. credit union movement," said Kitchen. CUNA Mutual has been a long-time supporter of the NCUF and has contributed at the $100,000 level for the past several years. The NCUF funds projects that support industry-wide development initiatives, including consumer financial education, and homes for low-income people. Liberty Enterprises President & CEO Stan Hollen presented the Foundation with a $100,000 check. Liberty joins CUNA & Affiliates, CUNA Mutual Group and U.S. Central Credit Union as NCUF corporate partners.
