WOCCU Accepting Nominations for Scholarships

MADISON, Wis. -The World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. (WOCCU) is now accepting nominations for its third annual Young Credit Union Professionals scholarship program. The annual scholarship program rewards young professionals and volunteers who demonstrate a personal commitment and potential to further professional development, along with an ability to influence credit union development in his or her home country. Credit unions are encouraged to nominate exceptional staff and volunteers who are 35 years of age or younger, as of Jan. 1, 2003. The deadline to submit nomination forms and all supporting materials is May 2, 2003. Nominees will be required to travel to Brisbane, Australia, June 22-26, 2003, on behalf of their sponsoring organizations to attend the triennial International Credit Union Forum. At the Forum five of the nominees will be awarded with the scholarship and an all-expense paid opportunity to attend the 2004 International Credit Union Leadership Institute in the Bahamas.
