Hart had been interim CEO of the Portland-based enterprise software and services supplier since October and president since January 2001, when Ted Spooner, who hails from the credit union industry, stepped down. Hart joined Corillian in April 2000 as executive vice president of corporate development. Prior to that, the Harvard graduate was vice president of business development for Microsoft's TransPoint electronic bill presentment and payment venture. Corillian's flagship product is its Voyager platform. "During his time as interim CEO, Alex has proven his ability to effectively manage the operations of the company, make the right decisions and point Corillian in the right strategic direction to achieve sustainable profitability," said John McCoy, Corrillian chairman. "Alex is the right person for the job and we are excited about working with him to help Corillian grow," McCoy said.
