SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – As the military prepares to move forces overseas, Arrowhead Credit Union is doing what it can for the troops. The $662 million credit union has started a "Treats for Troops" campaign to collect items for the men and women at March Air Reserve Base waiting to be deployed. Items collected range from small treats and magazines to games for the troops to enjoy while they wait. According to Arrowhead CU Vice President Jane Ronnfeldt, since thousands of armed service personnel wait at the base everyday the effort is to help keep them occupied until they are sent overseas. In addition to the entertainment items, monetary donations are being collected by the Community Foundation, a non-profit community corporation that serves San Bernardino and Riverside counties, for reservist military families who may need help with rent, utilities and food. The program will run until February 25.
