COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In a move to assist military members, Ent Federal Credit Union said Wednesday it is cutting fees and providing "rate bonuses" to ease financial burdens of newly deployed members. Ent said it has upgraded "the relationship plan" for all mobilized and deployed military members providing them with "several no-fee services." Citing the "impending war in the Middle East," Ent said it sought to "reduce the impact as much as possible" of the deployment on those called to active duty including Reserves and those in the National Guard. As part of the upgrade, Ent said affected military members will have use of any ATM worldwide without paying any fee to Ent, free online banking with free online bill pay, no monthly account or check writing fee, dividends paid on checking accounts, as well as official checks and money orders at no charge. In addition, a discount is offered on new consumer loans plus a bonus on published rate share certificates among other benefits.
