MERRIAM, Kan. -As a result of a unanimous member vote, WECOE Credit Union has merged with Kansas City, Missouri-based CommunityAmerica Credit Union. With Lucent Technologies consolidating its operations with a plant in North Carolina, the $8.2 million WECOE CU opted to partner with the $1.1 billion credit union to provide ongoing service to members. "With a 45-year history of being there for our members, we are confident our membership's future will be in good hands at CommunityAmerica CU," said WECOE CU President Ron Hardin. CommunityAmerica CU serves over 110,000 members.
