TULSA, Okla. – The Oklahoma Credit Union League has named Dave Douglas, senior vice president, as Chief Financial Officer, and Lisa Finley, vice president, as senior vice president/Chief Operating Officer, a new position. Douglas will be responsible for the league’s accounting, human resources areas, and Audit Division. Finley will oversee governmental affairs, communications, administration, the Credit Union Development Division, and the League Service Corp. OCUL President Bob Bianchini said the organizational changes were made to streamline the league’s reporting structure, as well as better coordinate league activities. By breaking the league into two functional areas of responsibility – financial and operational, Bianchini said, “This will allow each area to coordinate their activities in an efficient manner and allocate resources as necessary to provide the best possible services to our state’s credit unions.” Douglas has been with the Oklahoma League since 1999. Prior to coming to OCUL, he worked with the Iowa Credit Union league first as a field consultant and then as coordinator of training. He also worked as vice president of the Minnesota League of Credit Unions, later serving as Interim President. Finley has been with the Oklahoma League since 1998, and was hired to head up its communications and public relations department. Prior to coming to OCUL, Finley was a member of the executive staff of the Cherokee Nation, the second largest Indian tribe in the U.S. There, she served as the director of business development, press secretary for the principal chief, and congressional liason. Finley was also instrumental in securing a position for a Native American representative to speak at the 1996 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, and she was chosen to work with White House speech writers to write the script that was delivered and aired worldwide. Prior to her work at the Cherokee Nation, Finley served as the marketing director for the Cherokee National Historical Society, Finley’s credit union career has also included serving on several boards and committees including the American Association of Credit Union League Executive’s Public Relations Advocacy Committee and CUNA’s Brand Committee.
