LYNCHBURG, Va. – After leading Virginia League Corporate FCU through an interesting period, David Miles is returning to the Virginia League. Miles took over Virginia League Corporate FCU as CEO in a bit of a trying time as NCUA's Interlock restriction had just separated the leagues and corporates. Miles said he had to make sure the corporate truly acted independent of the league, but also maintained a strong cooperative bond with the league. The corporate was about $500 million when he was named CEO in 1997, and stands at about $1.2 billion today. Miles returns to the league as SVP of Credit Union Development. His successor at the corporate has not yet been named.
