WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -Despite warnings that holiday shindigs can boost employee morale many are saying no to festivities this year. According to a Hewitt Associates survey the number of companies hosting holiday parties has dropped from 67% last year to 64%, with more than 40% of companies reporting this year's festivities would be more modest than five years ago. Human resource experts agree that to keep holiday spirits up, employers should show staffers how the money saved will benefit them.
