LANSING, Mich. – Given all the growing controversy surrounding insurance credit scoring here, Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Services Commissioner Frank M. Fitzgerald will release a report regarding its use. The report comes after six public hearings held around the state during the summer of 2002. In addition OFIS staff have concluded extensive insurance credit scoring research and will be attending the upcoming National Association of Insurance Commissioners meeting to hear the results from the national working group on insurance credit scoring. The report will be made available December 16, 2002.
