Deluxe Financial Services, St. Paul, Minn., Director of Operations Angie Fyfe has been named the Menttium 100 Mentor of the Year. The Menttium 100 program mentors more than 200 women during the year to help them advance their career potential. Fyfe was presented the award in recognition of her dedication to the program and the positive outcomes for her mentee. Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Broomall, Pa., has named Retail Services Specialist Jennifer Strasinski the Doris Sgro Employee of the Year. Strasinski was recognized for her positive attitude, dependability, enthusiasm and dedication to both fellow employees and members alike. To mark the honor, a $500 donation was made to the Ridley Area YMCA Children's Corner in Strasinski's name. Sun Community Federal Credit Union, Pomona, Calif., President/CEO George E. Kirschner, has earned certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate. Kirschner is also certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Certified Computing Professional. Credit Union Association of Oregon, Beaverton, has honored five outstanding individuals with the Credit Union Advocate of the Year award and the Distinguished Service Award. These Awards were given to the top individuals committed to working to protect the credit union movement in the legislative and political arena, on a volunteer and professional level, and for their outstanding accomplishments in the support and promotion of the credit union idea. Margaret Grey and Dave Loprinzi, board members of Portland Postal Employees' Credit Union, tied to receive the Credit Union Advocate of the Year – volunteer award, and John McLaughlin, former CEO of Wood Products Credit Union, received the Credit Union Advocate of the Year – professional award. Dale Parrott was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in the volunteer category, and Linda Wheeler received the Distinguished Service Award in the professional category.
