ALEXANDRIA, Va.-At its most recent board meeting, NCUA extended the deadline for the comment period regarding investments by federal credit unions for employee benefits from November 25 to December 26, 2002. The board issued the proposal for public comment at the September 25 board meeting. NCUA explained that two interested parties requested additional time to respond. “In view of this request and NCUA’s desired to foster public participation in the rulemaking process, the NCUA Board is extending the comment period to December 26, 2002,” the Board Action Memorandum read.
