WASHINGTON – The National Association of Counties and the U.S. Conference of Mayors signed letters of agreement with the National Association of Realtors to become partners in NAR's "Housing Opportunity Program." The agreement with the U.S. Conference of Mayors calls for a dialogue between national real estate leaders and mayors from throughout the U.S. on key federal legislative issues, areas of cooperation on the local level to promote investment and affordable housing opportunities, and to crease "best practices" on how local realtors and mayors have cooperated. NAR's partnership with the National Association of Counties commits NAC to work with NAR to achieve common objectives in homeownership opportunities. -
