ATLANTA – Sun Microsystems is getting deeper into the financial services industry. The tech giant said it has broadened its footprint into core banking systems, after initial success with its Retail Banking, Sun system. Sun has seen a number of financials begin to run their systems on a Sun platform, including some credit unions. Kern Schools FCU and BF Goodrich CU being two of them. "Within the last year, over a dozen major core processing software vendors have ported their systems to the Sun Platform," said David Littlewood, Director Worldwide Financial Services at Sun.
