ST LOUIS – The first annual national Firefighters Credit Union Conference was considered a huge success by attendees. Sponsored by William Rogers & Associates and Washington D.C.-based Support Processes Corporation, the conference was held in conjunction with the annual conference of the Combined Council of Automotive Credit Unions. In addition to other areas of concern including bankruptcy, loan delinquency, security and fraud issues, technology and loan growth, key group discussions focused on the growing issue of overlapping fields of membership. Attendees appointed Albert Braggs, Chicago Fireman’s Association CU; Grant Sheehan, Miami Firefighters FCU; Mike Arguelles, Los Angeles Firemen’s CU and Bill Ryan, Syracuse Fire Department Employees FCU to a four-person advisory committee to help design next year’s conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on Oct 9-11.
