WASHINGTON-The Consumer Federation of America (CFA) and CUNA announced last week that they are prepared to release their third annual survey on consumer holiday spending plans and concern over debt. CFA Executive Director Stephen Brobeck and CUNA Chief Economist Bill Hampel are scheduled to speak at the press conference. The CFA/CUNA survey provides a first-hand glimpse at consumer attitudes toward debt and outlines spending plans during economic uncertainty. The organizations will review the latest holiday data on consumer debt, draw comparisons from last year's holiday season, and provide advice for managing holiday spending and credit card use. The survey was conducted November 7-10. The press conference will take place Nov.18 at the Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C.
