INDIANAPOLIS – Credit union data processor RDS said its new Collections21 software allows credit unions to process collections information more quickly by utilizing XML and TCP/IP to exchange information with the core data processing system. Prior to the implementation of XML, the software used the ODBC Gateway to communicate with the host system. The new Collections21 module also has the ability to perform share-to-loan transfers within the collections package. Before XML, funds transfers were performed within the core processing transaction poster, requiring lenders to "toggle" between two software applications.
