ONTARIO, Calif. – Members of CO-OP Network, the nation's largest credit union-owned ATM network, will soon have the ability to track the condition and usage of their ATMs, the Network has announced. The ATM Device Inquiry system provides credit union staff with immediate updates and 24-hour access to the status of their ATMs, the Network said. The system can alert credit unions to breakdowns in the machines as well as let them track usage patterns, the Network said, all without the expense of an actual site visit. "It's understandable that members want 24-hour access to their accounts and don't want to be disappointed by their credit union's service," said Robert Rose, President and CEO of CO-OP Network. "By providing our Device Inquiry system, we're giving credit unions a tool to keep their ATM fleet running efficiently, which ultimately helps maintain the satisfaction of their membership," he said. "Device Inquiry has provided us the means to be more in touch with what's happening at our ATMs," said Shawn Jensen, Vista Federal Credit Union ATM Department Supervisor. "The system has improved our ability to keep ATMs running, significantly reducing the response time it used to take to fix down ATMs."
