Cal State 9 Credit Union, San Francisco, has celebrated the grand opening of its San Francisco State University campus branch. As part of the festivities, a drawing was held and prizes awarded included a mini refrigerator, digital camera, and a $50 Cal State 9 savings account. Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union, Tenn., has celebrated the opening of a new branch in the Raleigh area. The new high-tech facility is the first with remote tellers and features 10 drive-thru lanes. Catholic Credit Union, Yakima, Wash., has held the groundbreaking ceremony for its Ellensburg branch. Designed by Emick, Howard and Seibert, the 5,200 square-foot facility is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2003. Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News, Va., has celebrated the grand opening of its new Denbigh Branch. The facility has been dedicated to the late Lieutenant Colonel Charles R. Ritchie, USAF-Ret., who served as a board member from 1976 to 2001. Prospera Credit Union, has celebrated the grand opening of its new 3,200 square-foot branch in Darboy. Highlights of the festivities include a live radio remote broadcast of the WHBY Good Neighbor show, grand opening product specials, prize drawings, refreshments, and an appearance by Fang, the Timber Rattler's mascot. Lake Michigan Credit Union, has broken ground on its new 6,500 square-foot Holland Township branch. The single-story brick building will feature multiple drive-thru lanes, drive-thru ATMs, and a large community room. GMB Architects of Holland designed the building. Cardinal Community Credit Union, Mentor, Ohio, has broken ground for the new main office. The 11,200 square-foot headquarters features four drive-up lanes, one drive-up ATM machine and an interactive Internet area. Great Basin Federal Credit Union, Reno, Nevada, has celebrated the grand opening of its new south Reno branch. The 10,000 square-foot two-story facility features drive up ATMs and drive up teller windows. Designed by Morris and Brown the building is in the general shape of the state of Nevada. Space Age Federal Credit Union, Aurora, Colo., has celebrated the grand opening of its Lowry branch. As part of the festivities SAFCU held a silent auction and proceeds of $2,000 will support the Colorado Freedom Memorial Foundation. The memorial honors those that died serving our country from the Spanish-American war to the Persian Gulf war. Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Gaithersburg, Md., has celebrated a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. As part of the planned activities are educational seminars on the topics of living trust and the new tax laws. UT Federal Credit Union, Knoxville, TN, has opened its fifth branch. The new Greenfield branch will serve the underserved community with a full range of financial services. PSE Credit Union Inc., Parma, Ohio, has opened its newest branch in Strongville. The 3,500 square foot facility features drive-thru teller windows, a drive-up ATM machine and full-service lobby. Middlesex Credit Union, Conn., has opened its newly renovated lobby to members.. The renovation added 6,000 square feet to the existing building and features an Internet Caf, a Home/Auto Center, an Investment Center and a Kid's Corner. There are four computers in the lobby for members to surf the Internet, use loaded software and access their accounts through Home Banking.
