SALT LAKE CITY – Mountain American CU has taken its online mortgage product to the next level. Now, in addition to being able to apply for a mortgage online, members can expect to get an answer back on their application within a couple of minutes. MACU members can apply online for a variety of mortgages such as fixed rate, adjustable rate, jumbo loans, and first-time home buyer loans. Jeanie Gregg, vice president, mortgage services for MACU stressed that the online notification the member receives from the credit union isn't just a pre-qualification, but a "legitimate commitment to lend." Mountain American has more than 158,000 members and $1 billion in assets. It's the second largest credit unions in Utah.
