SAN DIEGO – At its annual client conference, Symitar Systems unveiled its new corporate identity/branding strategy. The company is dropping "Systems, Incorporated" from its name to put more focus on Symitar. It is also introducing a new corporate logo to support that change. To fit with the overall strategy, it is also introducing a new logo for its Conductor core processing system. Symitar's original core processing system has always been generically called "the Symitar system." Since it now offers two core products, it is concerned having one of them share the company name may be confusing at times. Going forward Symitar's original core processing system will be called Episys. According to Symitar, the first part of this name is based on the idea of an epicenter (to represent the central source of information) and also epic, which means "heroic, majestic and impressively great." The latter half comes directly from the word system, which speaks to the technical nature of the product.
