AUSTIN – The newly formed Texas Coalition for Affordable Insurance Solutions (TCAIS) says it is gearing up to find public policy solutions to improve insurance affordability and accessibility in Texas. As part of the effort TCAIS has created a new Web site www.TCAIS.org with information on the legislative and regulatory issues affecting insurance policyholders here. TCAIS believes any legislative and regulatory action related to insurance should be based on public policy principles which promote healthy competition; provide greater choice of policy options; and prevent fraud and claims abuse to keep prices low. TCAIS’ founding members include Allstate Insurance Company; American Insurance Association; Nationwide Insurance; State Farm Insurance Companies; and USAA.
