MADISON, Wis. – LeAnn Achtenberg, director of marketing and business development at Electrus FCU in Brooklyn Center, Minn. was named chairman of the National Youth Involvement Board at the organization’s annual meeting held Aug. 1-3. Her term is for one-year, and she replaces John Uchida, president of Space Age FCU in Aurora, Colo. He served as chairman for the past two years. Prior to working at Electrus FCU, Achtenberg worked for three years as a regional coordinator in the Northwest and South Central Regions during her five years working at the North Dakota and Kansas Credit Union leagues. Achtenberg said her biggest goal for NYIB is to expand its volunteer base. The organization is entirely volunteer run.
