COLUMBIA, Md. – Residents of Maryland who are interested in joining a credit union will soon be able to locate one they're eligible to join by accessing the Maryland Credit Union League's Web site (www.mdcul.org). The League is putting the finishing touches on Maryland Search, a user-friendly service that searches the League's database to locate and match potential members with a CU after they insert information in a series of fields such as city and county of residence, occupation, or name of employer. Users will also be provided with information on how they can contact the credit union of their choice – the CU's Web site, e-mail address and phone number. For Maryland Search visitors who want to request additional information from a particular CU, the system will offer them the opportunity to send the CU an e-mail.
