WARREN, Ohio – Just a few weeks after launch, Seven Seventeen CU here enrolled 1,159 members into its new eStatement program. The good news comes mostly with the cost savings of not having to mail out paper statements, but there's also a marketing benefit. According to the CU, 72% of the members who signed up also opted-in to receive additional marketing information from the credit union. The credit union will use that permission to contact members via e-mail with special offers. The credit union is using an eStatement solution from Digital Mailer (www.DigitalMailer.com). Approximately 84% of the members who signed up for eStatements did so through an online enrollment page provided by Digital Mailer. "We also use statement stuffers promoting our new eStatement program, but the online enrollment effort is substantially out-performing the off-line effort," said Karen DeSalvo, VP or marketing for Seven Seventeen CU.
