<p>I just finished reading Mike Welch's recent publisher's column entitled: "Watch out bankers, here comes credit union offensive." My reaction simply stated? Right On! Welch's points are extremely valid and even the bankers should be able to understand the straight forward logic employed to dispel their arguments and hypocrisies. The best defense is a good offense. I also enjoyed Welch's definition of a credit union. It is very similar to KEMBA's own mission statement: "We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative that exists to enrich the financial well being of our members."
