INDIANAPOLIS – re:Member Data Services CEO David Becker won the Trailblazer in Technology Award at this year's Indiana Information Technology Association (INITA) CyberStar Gala. The award is presented each year to someone who demonstrates a significant commitment to the support and advancement of technology in the state of Indiana. Becker has been in the IT industry for 21 years, founding both RDS as well as the former Internet banking firm, Virtual Firnancial Services, which was sold to Digital Insight earlier this year. Becker is also the CEO and chairman of the board for First Internet Bank of Indiana, the first state-chartered bank to operate solely online and in real-time. "I am a strong supporter of INITA's efforts to bring local software companies together and to create an environment that stimulates technological growth. Continued growth in the technology community helps retain graduating college students in the state of Indiana, which in turn stimulates our local economy," said Becker. Becker's volunteer activities include serving as the chairman of the board of directors for the McDermond Center for Management and Entrepreneurship at DePauw University. Becker also serves on the boards of the 21st Century Fund and the Indiana Technology Partnership. In addition, he served on Governor Frank O'Bannon's High Tech Task Force for the State of Indiana.
