MADISON, Wis. – CUES Senior Vice President/ Business and Professional Development Franck Schuurmans is resigning from CUES effective July 1, 2002. Schuurmans joined CUES in 1997 as vice president/ professional development. He was tasked with researching trends in the financial services industry. Currently he is responsible for CUES' institute and conference curriculum. During his five years with CUES, Schuurmans was very active on the credit union conference circuit as a speaker. "I hope my contributions have helped executives and directors navigate the change and uncertainty they face in their important work," said Schuurmans. Schuurmans said he will stay involved with CUES in a consulting role as director for the CUES Center for Graduate Studies. He said he can do this because his new job will be with a CUES strategic partner, Decisions Strategies International, Conshohocken, Pa., as director of non-profit practices. DSI is CUES' partner in providing strategic planning services. At DSI Schuurmans will also work with individual credit unions.
