<p>WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Pacific Service Credit Union, has renewed a $100,000 interest-free certificate of deposit at the People’s Community Partnership Federal Credit Union (PCPFCU) in Oakland. Recently celebrating its one year anniversary, PCPFCU will use the pledge to reach out to individuals and families who do not have banking relationships and offer them quality, affordable services and educational programs regardless of income. “Despite our diligent efforts to make affordable loans and low cost financial services accessible to under-served citizens – thousands of people continue to fall through the cracks,” said Anthony D. Jones, PCPFCU board director. According to the $800 million credit union President/CEO Tom Smilgielski, assisting small credit unions in the community is just one of Pacific Service CU’s annual goals.</p>
