GLASTONBURY, Conn. – Big Blue wants you. The world's largest IT company has agreed to collaborate with Open Solutions Inc. to deliver IBM equipment to credit unions and community banks using OSI as their core processor or provider of other technologies. The agreement calls for OSI clients to be offered the option to buy IBM hardware such as eServer systems, workstations, personal computers and large-capacity platforms with their OSI software solutions. The two companies will work together to deliver integrated solutions to Open Solutions' more than 1,600 bank and credit union clients, and on collaborative sales and marketing efforts. "We are pleased to be working with Open Solutions to provide enabling technologies, powered by IBM systems, that address the unique requirements of community banks and credit unions," said Mike Kozel, IBM eServer Alliance executive, Senior Group. Gary Daniel, OSI's senior vice president of sales and marketing, said: "OSI is offering our clients yet another way to remain competitive and provide better overall service. It's a great marriage of industry-leading software and industry-leading hardware."
