The NMCRS helps military families in times of financial emergencies. Lincoln Chapter of Credit Unions, Neb., has presented a check to the Nebraska Credit Union League for $4,500 to benefit Credit Unions for Kids. The donation is the result of fundraising efforts coordinated by the Chapter over the past year including 50/50 drawings at Chapter meetings, a credit union night at the ballpark and a golf tournament. These funds, which are the most raised by any Chapter this year, are also in addition to the fundraising of individual credit unions within the Chapter. OPCS Federal Credit Union, Orchard Park, N.Y., employees have donated their time to help keep children safe by co-sponsoring a fingerprinting and photo ID program with the Orchard Park Police department. OPCS FCU staff and police officers offered the fingerprinting and picture-taking services during the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce Trade Show, which is open to the general public. By the end of the two-day show, they had seen nearly 200 children, from toddlers to 16-year-olds.
