<p>Tower Federal Credit Union, Laurel, Md., employees have rolled up their sleeves to donate blood to the American Red Cross. Over 33 pints of blood were donated. In addition, TFCU has collected and donated 30 pounds of pull-tabs from soda cans for the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, Pa. The tabs can be redeemed for cash at recycling stations. TFCU employees will also participate in the American Cancer Society's Race for the Cure and Relay for Life. The events focus on cancer research, education, screening, and treatment programs. With 15 teams this past spring, TFCU Hopped for a Cure and raised $4,400. IBM Southeast Employees' Federal Credit Union, Boca Raton, Fla., has raised $2,020 to benefit the United Way's September 11th Fund. IBM Southeast EFCU offered a 4% American Pride Certificate for 30 months to members and donated $10 to the September 11th Relief Fund. In one month 202 certificates were opened. A portion of the proceeds of the shirts was split between the Widows' and Children's' Funds of the NY Police Department and the Widows' and Children's' Funds of the NY Fire Department.</p>
