<p>SALT LAKE CITY – Fiserv is combining the operations of CUSA Technologies here and OnCU Services, Flint, Michigan. The move will give CUSA clients access to both online and in-house data processing systems. Currently, CUSA only offers an in-house model. OnCU Services has a Windows-based online system. OnCU Services will retain its name, products and facilities, but operate as a part of CUSA Technologies. OnCU Services may not be a familiar name to many CUs. It is Fiserv's former Flint Data Center that was operated by Summit, a Fiserv DP subsidiary. Tom Neil, president and COO of Fiserv's Credit Union and Industry Products Group, said since Summit already has its own service bureau solution, Fiserv felt OnCU Services would be more appealing to CUSA, which does not have an online solution. The two units have also targeted the same market segment. "CUSA specializes in small to mid-size credit unions as does Flint. We're basically putting it under that organization in order to allow the CUSA sales force to have an in-house option and online option," said Neil. Neil noted that the Flint operation has been a consistent performer over the years, with its CU clients now standing at about 90. The 35 or so employees in OnCU Services' Flint office will remain there, and the operation will be serviced out of Flint. Neil said this deal with CUSA is more of a marketing deal. CUSA sales reps will also sell OnCU Services. CUSA Technologies serves 960 credit unions.</p>
