<p>SAN DIMAS, Calif. – WesCorp booked $1.6 billion in certificates in the month of March (a record for the corporate), bringing the total of its outstanding certificates as of the end of March to $8.3 billion. WesCorp said credit unions are going longer with their investments because of a 1.75% overnight rate, compared to 4% and 5% rates for three years and four years out on the curve respectively. "We must not forget about the $50 billion still invested in agency securities that could be earning credit unions more if invested in the corporate network," said Dick Johnson, president/CEO of WesCorp.</p>
