SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Credit union shared branching has come to New England with Digital Federal Credit Union and Service Credit Union signing agreements with Financial Service Centers Cooperative, Inc. An issuing credit union for the past three years, Digital FCU will now also be an acquiring CU by accepting transactions. Effective June 1, Service CU members will be able to use other network member credit unions' branches and in October SCU plans to begin processing acquirer transactions. The Digital FCU and Service CU deal is the first signed under a sales/marketing agreement between New England Credit Union Services, LLC and FSCC shared branching network. NECUS is a partnership of the Massachusetts Credit Union League, New Hampshire Credit Union League and Rhode Island Credit Union League.
