Motorola Employees Credit Union-West, Scottsdale, Ariz., has celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch at Superstition Springs. The branch features safe deposit boxes, extended weekday hours, Saturday hours, drive-up windows and a drive-up ATM. Robins Federal Credit Union, Warner Robins, Ga., has held the ribbon cutting for its new Milledgeville branch. While Milledgeville Branch Manager Patsy Franks cut the ceremonial ribbon, several of the credit union board members and employees showed their support. Other attendees included CEO Edward E. Levins, and Board Director Harold Sawyer, Tommy Jefferson, chairman of the Board of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce and Tara Peters, president of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce. A live remote broadcast featuring local radio station Z97 FM entertained the more than 100 guests that stopped by to enjoy the food, giveaways and festivities. Arkansas Federal Credit Union, Jacksonville, has broken ground on its West Little Rock branch. The new facility will replace the existing storefront branch and will feature remote teller systems, Internet banking, four drive-thru lanes and a drive-up ATM. The branch is scheduled to open in late 2002 or early 2003. Unit No. 1 Federal Credit Union, Lockport, N.Y., has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Rapids road facility. The two-story 36,000 square-foot facility will not only house the new headquarters but also a full service branch featuring six drive-through lanes, two ATM drive-up lanes and parking for 180 spaces.
