ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA has hired Molly Schar as its new writer/editor in the Office of Public and Congressional Affairs (PACA). She actually began work in late March. Schar previously served as editor and publisher of Midlands Woman Magazine in Columbia, S.C. The Maryland native also held positions as community director for the March of Dimes in Columbia and director of member relations and communications manager for the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she worked for the Columbia Museum of Art as a marketing and public relations coordinator. "PACA gains a professional who will be developing internal agency communication systems, handling press and public inquiries and contributing to the ability of PACA to reach the external audiences that need to know more about NCUA activities," PACA Director Cliff Northup commented. Schar holds a bachelor's degree in public relations and advertising from the University of South Carolina.
