DETROIT – It is all about education here in the Motor City. More than 125 members and guests attended Michigan First Credit Union's Car Buying Seminar. The two-hour free seminar is part of an ongoing member education project. Attendees learned how to negotiate the best price; compare leasing and buying; determine whether to choose a rebate or a lower interest rate; improve a credit score and analyze a "special" offer. Five more seminars are to be sponsored by MFCU this year covering such topics as credit awareness, financial planning, estate planning and financing college.
