<p>FARMERS BRANCH, – TCUL Services, Inc., the fee-supported services arm of the Texas Credit Union League, has changed its name to Credit Union Resources. The new name is easier to understand and affords the group added flexibility for providing products and services to credit unions in states surrounding Texas, said Kevin Hamby, General Counsel for Credit Union Resources. Coinciding with the name change are organization structural changes, particularly concerning overlapping boards of directors, which will help eliminate risk of losing not-for-profit tax status. Under the old structure, every League director served on the TCUL Services Board. The new board of directors calls for six League directors to serve the company, recognizing the Texas League's 100 percent ownership of the company, but also provides for five directors not from the League board.</p>
