<p>NEW YORK – Secretary Mel Martinez of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will deliver the opening address at the Second Latino Credit Union Conference, April 11-13. Martinez's appearance at the conference will be the first by a cabinet-level official in the National Federation of Community Development Credit Union's history. Among the topics he is expected to cover will be HUD's new Colonias Gateway Initiative. The three-day conference is being presented by the NFCDCU in cooperation with various credit union organizations. Other speakers expected at the conference include Congresswoman Grace Napolitano (D-Calif.); NCUA Chairman Dennis Dollar; David Chatfield, president/CEO, California Credit Union League; and Dick Ensweiler, president/CEO, Texas Credit Union League.</p>
