<p>VIENNA, Va. -Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.) will keynote Navy FCU's annual meeting to be held at its headquarters here on March 25. Kanjorski, a senior member of the Financial Services Committee and a lead sponsor of H.R. 1151, also spoke at GAC. Kanjorski, long a credit union supporter, was very vocal on credit union issues at the recent hearing on reg-relief for financials. He said that privately-insured state-chartered CUs, unless safety and soundness concerns are addressed, should not be permitted to become members of the Federal Home Loan Bank system. He also questioned whether the federal charter will be viable going forward as state charter CUs continue to be granted more powers</p>
