Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation, Harrisburg, has reached a grant-issuing milestone. Generating funds and providing other resources for credit union survival, development and education are the primary functions of the PCUF. Since it was organized in 1996, the Foundation has shared more than $500,000 in grants. This past year the foundation has issued the following grants: 28 Small Credit Union Technology grants for computer, training and Internet access; four Member Access Project grants were made to establish debit card programs; two Marketing Projects grants to promote credit union membership, share and loan program; two National Credit Union Foundation grants were made for the World Council of Credit Union's "people to people" program and for that Foundation's general fund; and two Restricted grants were made to Habitat for Humanity projects in West Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Kensington. FORUM Credit Union, Indianapolis, Ind., President/CEO Gary Irvin, has celebrated his 25th anniversary with the credit union. Irvin was honored at a reception attended by FORUM's employees and board of directors. Irvin joined the credit union in 1973 and was named president/CEO in 1998. Irvin is a board member of the prestigious Credit Union Society of America and is a past member of the Corporate Credit Union Board of Directors. A long-time community activist, Irvin has assumed the role of president of the Fishers Chamber of Commerce in January 2002.
