WASHINGTON – Malcolm Bush, president of the Woodstock Institute and recent critic of the lack of data substantiating credit unions' efforts to serve low-income people, would not comment on his recent meeting with newly nominated NCUA Board Member Deborah Matz. Bush, a member of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition's Board, met with Matz at the NCUA after completing a presentation at the NCRC's annual meeting in Washington. Matz was unavailable to comment. Matz' nomination to the NCUA Board has been forwarded to the Senate, and NCUA sources anticipate a confirmation hearing before the Senate Banking Committee before the end of March.
