<p>In response to publisher Mike Welch's column on some things that bother him (CU Times, Jan. 30), I agree that there is a lot to be bothered about. But, I feel much better after reading his views. I found myself shaking my head in agreement with nearly every issue raised in Welch's "bothersome" list even though I had previously only thought about half of the issues. I guess I'm just a maverick, something I've admitted to colleagues. Some of them agreed. As further proof, I'm taking Welch's words as a compliment because now I realize I'm only half bothered, might just be right, and may have some leadership qualities. James L.
