WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – Where would a credit union be without a staff of talented and hardworking individuals to provide member services? Truliant FCU dedicated an entire day, February 18, to celebrate the spirits of its employees who have not been discouraged by a sluggish economy nor trying times during the past year. More than 300 employees from the $800 million credit union's branches in five states – Florida, Ohio, Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina – gathered at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Greensboro, N.C. for the credit union's 9th Annual Employee Celebration. The event featured Denise Ryan, a motivational speaker; departmental showcases; teambuilding exercises; and the presentation of two awards – The President's Technology Award, and the Bonia Hauser Philosophy in Action Award. Some lucky Truliant employees also walked away with a vacation package. These prizes were tied into the yearlong Truliant 50th anniversary celebration. Truliant CEO Marc Schafer said the credit union "is proud to maintain its commitment to its employees and celebrate a year of successes. It's our way of showing how much we truly appreciate all that they do."
