<p>DANVILLE, Pa. – Service 1st Federal Credit Union is helping out area students and its auto loan portfolio through a partnership with the Columbia-Montour area Vocational/Technical School. Through the agreement, the credit union provides funds to the school to purchase a used/salvaged car and the parts necessary for the students to repair the vehicle and return it to operating condition. Then, a committee comprised of Service 1st FCU, Vocational Technical School and Danville High School review and select a candidate to purchase the car. The CU will then provide a loan to the candidate, who must be a credit union member or qualify for membership.</p>
