MADISON, Wis. – CUNA Mutual Group has developed a short list of "Preferred Partners" for credit unions to consider when choosing a vendor to test their IT security programs. To help credit unions better assess the risks associated with Internet-connected systems, and improve security of members' confidential data, CUNA Mutual said it has developed agreements with several third-party IT security vendors. IT security is being looked at more closely by NCUA. After discussing information security needs with a credit union, CUNA Mutual will then refer the credit union to its list of Preferred Partners, who can provide an array of security assessment services. Digital Defense, Inc., Inacom Information Systems/Williams Young, LLC and TruSecure Corporation have been identified as the "Preferred Partners." The three vendors were selected after CUNA Mutual performed due diligence reviews on each company.
